No? Go back to Part One and read how. If yes, continue reading to learn the basics of how to care for your little guy.

Succulent placement:

Succulents thrive outside, but they can lead productive lives inside as well. If they live indoors, please get them lots of natural light.
If it rains for more than a day, bring your succulent to a covered area.
When it gets below 40 degrees, be sure to bring your succulents inside.

Congratulations! Perhaps you are the new owner of a baby succulent. Follow these planting tips we've compiled from our succulent expert Sara to ensure a long and happy life together.

Contain your succulent:

You can use most any container (bowls, pots, cups, boxes, baskets), but use something with drain holes if you can.
If it doesn't have drain holes, adding a layer of pea gravel in the bottom is very important. This helps with drainage.

If you have ever purchased a succulent at our shop, then you know how obsessed we are with proper plant care. Here's some quick tips about Christmas Cacti care we learned from our wonderful grower, Sara.

To extend the life of your bloom, keep your cactus in a cool room, maybe even next to a window
Water once a month during the winter (when the weather is regularly reaching below 40 degrees) and twice a month all other times of the year
They are happy in morning sun and shade
If you want your cactus to bloom, you need to cut water back starting in August, don't water again until late October or November

The difference between minimal and unfinished decorating

I've been lying in bed thinking about this quite a lot over the past year. My life ritual is to swing from one extreme to another, then gently wander my way into middle ground. I did this with boyfriends. I did this with work. I'm doing this with my bedroom decorating, duh. So my once packed bedroom became quite a blank canvas this past year. And it's from this place, I have been contemplating the difference between minimal design and something not quite finished.

Tulsa home styling: A sweet and simple vintage boys' room

We always say our clients are stylish people, but this has never been more the case than when we worked with local blogger and house renovator Emily Netz. Emily and her husband Jeff recently renovated their 1920s Tulsa home (which you can see and read about here) and Emily designed and furnished nearly every space except for her boys' room. When it came to this room, Emily felt stuck on how to create the space she had imagined in her head and wanted an extra pair (or two) of eyes to help bring it to life. Colorful Vintage + Modern Kitchen Renovation in Tulsa, OK

Well, I can't believe it. Our kitchen is actually done. Done, I say! It's been so long, I'm ashamed for you to look back to see the date of the "before" kitchen post.

Okay. It was April 30th.

So that means the kitchen's been about six months in the making. Now to be completely fair, our kitchen has been functional since mid July, but the "finishing touches" took nearly as long as the bulk of the demo/installation. But whatever. It was our first renovation and we went at it without a general contractor and it's done now, so who cares if it took six months? Who's even counting, right? (I can say that now that it's over, because I did care. I was the crazy woman counting!).
