A-List Weekend Reading

A-List Weekend Reading

Hi folks,

It's been a long week, but we made it to the weekend. This time of year is always a little crazy on its own without other life challenges thrown in, so hang in there!

We're busy preparing for the Alliday Show which takes place next weekend, December 8th and 9th at our shop. It's free admission both days, so mark your calendars! Until then, enjoy these pretty things we sought out for you this week. Oh, and thanks for reading.

We want our girls to have big girl beds like this.

Tulsa home styling: A sweet and simple vintage boys' room

Tulsa home styling: A sweet and simple vintage boys' room

We always say our clients are stylish people, but this has never been more the case than when we worked with local blogger and house renovator Emily Netz. Emily and her husband Jeff recently renovated their 1920s Tulsa home (which you can see and read about here) and Emily designed and furnished nearly every space except for her boys' room. When it came to this room, Emily felt stuck on how to create the space she had imagined in her head and wanted an extra pair (or two) of eyes to help bring it to life.  We were more than happy to help!

How to Unite your House with Design: Three Tips for Creating a Cohesive Home

Unifying your home with thoughtful design

I think about my house a lot. Probably more than the average Joe. Probably not more than you if you are reading this blog. I've recently been thinking about how certain design elements throughout my home (both inside and out) unite it together. Though different rooms have their own specific design, they are still part of a whole. They are same, same, but different. Siblings, cousins? Hey hey friends! Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week? That also means our big Black Friday and Small Business Saturday sale is next week too! Everything (except our Gus* Modern pieces) will be 25% off! We only have sales like this two times a year, so don't miss out. Ok, enough of that. Now let's look at some pretty things from around the web.

We hosted some local bloggers recently, and another local Ashley wrote the nicest post about it. AND her photos of the event are so lovely. Thanks Ash!

We ask Little Yellow Couch Style Matters podcast hosts why style matters

We ask Little Yellow Couch Style Matters podcast hosts why style matters

We've been listening to Little Yellow Couch's Style Matters podcast for a while now. Palmer often runs to it in the mornings, and I (Daly) sew to it during toddler nap-times. Karen and Zandra are funny and warm people who are passionate about the significant role style can play in people's lives. We love the guests they host–so many interesting, smart people who have made a business of helping inspire others in the interior design realm. It's not just about beautiful spaces, it's about how spaces can make you feel and help you be your best self.

This past week, Ashley and I, were lucky enough to be welcomed on to the Style Matters podcast as guests. We had THE best time and are so excited to share it with you. Click below to hear us chat it up about style and homes and furniture jokes.
